If that's what you're interested in, then you'll want to look out for the temples scattered about town. The people there certainly like to talk about it enough that they'll likely talk your ear off about it's praises if you let them.
[Isabela on the other hand was Very Much Not interested in any of it, never had been in regards to any interest related to religion. She's sort of glad Rivain was a country that wasn't as huge on religion as the others were, growing up free of being bound to Andrastian rules or fear of any higher power.]
As for wanting to see anything scaly you'll want to head to the fields. People breed and raise them there, some even tend to them as a form of work too. I've never been, but I imagine they'll adore someone as sweet as you seem to be.
[There's an innocence to Yukina that she's sure the baby dragons would probably adore in her. She's kept her distance personally, because the idea of dragons being anything other than powerful beasts to slay or be slain is a hard mentality to shake even after a few months. ]
That's just what I do. I'm a helper. A shepard even, to people who've lost their way and pretty ladies who deserve to spend their days anywhere other than a murky bog.
[Although she can't help but wish more of her life's decisions involved pretty women to help out instead of the usual fare. She chuckles at the mention of legality, an amused grin dancing on her lips as she continues to work at the wall.]
Oh, this would most definitely be frowned upon if we were to get caught out here. I'm sure the punishment for this is more than just a slap on the wrist or a night in chains. It doesn't scare me though, at least I'm not the one trying to leave innocent people outside to the mercy of nature. And I'll tell you now, nature around here is anything but nice. [She sighs, steadily picking at the wall.] It just doesn't feel right, none of this does. I'm not looking to be a hero or get anything from this really beyond helping people like you get somewhere safe. The right thing isn't always the right thing, if you know what I mean.
[And then she pauses as if she sees something, parting the vines. It's that she sees anything at all really, catching a glimpse of buildings close to the other side of the wall. An alley from what she can see of it, perfect for what they're trying to do. She smiles, looking back at Yukina.] Looks like we're just about there. A little more and I'll be able to welcome you into the city proper.
[The big dragons are probably kind of scary. But a small one? That would be fine. It's essentially just a bigger lizard, and lizards don't particularly frighten her. In theory, if someone could bond with one before it grew too large, the chances of getting eaten down the line would go way down too...
But maybe she's thinking a little too far ahead. They still have to actually get into the city, after all.]
...mm. I know what you mean.
[Her voice hardens a little as she works at the wall. At this rate, they won't even have to hide somewhere else if the guards come back - they can just pull the vines over the hole they've made and stay very, very quiet. That's encouraging.]
Where I come from... is sort of like this. Um, I don't mean the climate...! It's much, much colder where I was born. But the people who raised me didn't like outsiders, either. They shut themselves off from the rest of the world and... they would refuse to let anyone who didn't belong in. I think if they'd had the ability to do so, they would be doing the exact same thing that people are doing here.
[The disapproval is clear in her tone.]
Their idea of what the right thing to do is isn't really the right thing, either. But... these people let people like you in before all of this, so maybe all of this is just an extenuating circumstance. If they liked you enough to let you in, they can't be all bad.
[Now her voice softens.]
I'm looking forward to seeing the parts of this city that you like.
