Brave new world, same old shit. Even on an alien planet things aren't really that different, which... I dunno. Kind of comforting, even with how stupid it is. And every asshole loves spouting cryptic bullshit like they're Shakespeare.
[ it provides a sense of familiarity, and that people really aren't so different with some things just always staying the same even between worlds and races. still, it does fucking suck a lot given everything that happened with the biological bomb a couple months ago. ]
But the ship itself is pretty high tech. You might actually be more chill with El Nysa's level. It's kind of... a mix of tech and magic? Steampunk? I dunno even know what to call it, but it isn't as fancy as this. The Orbiters are like Gods to the people on the planet, so they don't know the truth like we do.
Finding comfort in what's normal then? Well, some things never change no matter where you go, helps to make things seem less bizarre than they really are. To adapt is to survive after all.
[Which is how even though they're in a ship in space which is completely bizarre, the controls of it are growing more familiar which keeps her in a state of curiosity instead of panic and concern. It does help though, which she'd more than agree with if she wasn't currently feeling it between them, which...she isn't sure how it's possible but it puts her a little at ease all the same.]
I was never someone gifted with magic, but I'm no stranger to its potential. I'm not against learning more about it though, since I usually like knowing what I'm getting into.[For better or worse really.] So they just live their lives down there? Just...unaware of things like these ships and the Orbiters bringing us all from our various worlds? Do they question our appearances much or are we simply faces in the crowd with how many of us I'm sure there are?
